BLACK SCREEN.
There is a classic phone ringing as the title ‘ALONE’ appears on the screen.
FADE IN:
INT. LUCY’S BEDROOM - EVENING
LUCY is sat on her bed with a laptop, she reaches over to the desk where the phone that has been ringing since the beginning is placed and answers it.
LUCY
Hello?
INT. HARRY’S BEDROOM - EVENING
HARRY is LUCY’s boyfriend and is on the other end of the phone call. Throughout this sequence we only see close ups of his face.
HARRY
Hey, it’s only me. I know we’ve been arguing a lot recently but I want to make it up to you tonight. Come and stop at mine?
We keep switching between LUCY and HARRY through this whole conversation. LUCY begins to stroll around and starts looking out of the window, whereas we don’t see what HARRY is up to.
HARRY’S voice is very monotone.
LUCY
You seemed pretty angry, are you sure it’s a good idea?
HARRY
I’m sure. I’ve calmed down now and I just want to spend the night with you! Please come?
LUCY
I don’t know, it’s getting dark outside, maybe I should just come over in the morning.
HARRY
No, I want to make it up to you tonight, it’ll be fine just come round now.
LUCY
Fine, I’ll come, but if you start getting angry again i’m going straight home.
LUCY grabs her ipod and coat and heads to the doorway.
HARRY
I promise everything will be just fine.
HARRY puts the phone down and seems to walk out of a door, but we still see nothing more than his face.
EXT. LUCY’S HOUSE - EVENING
LUCY slams the door shut whilst wrapping up in her coat and putting her headphones in her ears. We see her walk down a street and approach a gate.
EXT. PARK - EVENING
As LUCY enters the park we see a POV shot from in the trees. The camera is very unsteady. We then switch to a POV from LUCY and we hear her music being loudly played to show she is oblivious to what is going on.
There is more movement in the surroundings and LUCY becomes more aware, removing her headphones and checking that she is alone. We cut to another POV shot further up the path but still in the trees. We can hear heavy breathing.
Again there is rustling in the trees. LUCY glances across to where we think the ‘Stalker’ is, but there is nothing there. The camera cuts back to the POV which is now behind LUCY and quickly approaching her.
BLACK SCREEN.
LUCY screams.
INT. HARRY’S HOUSE
There is an extreme close up on HARRY’S eyes. We think he is reacting to the scream we have just heard. But the camera comes out to a long shot to reveal the blood on his hands.
